A selection of the finest pictures from the botanical archive at Kew spanning a period of 350 years. All the varied selection are illustrated in colour and include some the work of Sidney Parkinson who travelled with Cook and Banks in the Pacific on the Endeavour voyage. The frontis plate depicts the New Zealand Kowhai in flower, a watercolour on vellum painted by Ann Lee in 1779.
