An Account of a most Dangerous Voyage performed by the famous Capt. John Monck, in the years 1619 and 1620. By the special command of Cristian IV King of Denmark, Norway, &c. to Hudson’s Straites, in order to discover a passage on that side, betwixt Greenland and America to the West-Indies. With a description of the Old and New Greenland, for the better elucidation of the said treatise. Also an account of Spitsbergen and the manner of catching whales. Five pages of engraved plates, two pages depicting the ‘Unicorn’ or arctic Narwhal, skull views and a foetus; a chart of the Greenland coast and two whaling scenes.
