The exquisite Florilegium of Alexander Marshal, c.1620-82, is the only surviving example of an English flower book of the seventeenth century.  This fine publication includes a biographical sketch of Marshal, a description of his artistic method and superb colour reproductions of the flowers, arranged by season. This copy is the American edition.
