Each species is illustrated with an artistic, and botanically accurate, painting in full colour. The text comprises brief descriptions of the plants, their scientific and popular names, where found, and the flowering time. The first volume was originally published in 1969 and republished with the second uniform volume in 1978. Together large and heavy. An outstanding work of art and science.
