Each plant is shown life size in superb detail, one to a page, and many of the paintings include enlargements showing the leaves, flowers and fruit; all were painted from living specimens. Each painting is accompanied by comprehensive notes on the facing page, these notes include descriptions of habitat, distribution and nomenclature. A New Zealand botanical classic.
