Die Vegetation der Erde XIV. Vegetation of New Zealand.

Leonard Cockaye.

An important account of the plant geography of New Zealand at a time when many areas were botanically unexplored. From 1904 until 1914 Cockayne worked on the project at the instigation of Prof. Dr. A. Engles for a worldwide series. The manuscript was sent to Berlin just before the outbreak of World War I. As a consequence, publication was considerably delayed. There are 56 plates of vegetation types, all from photographs by the author.
