George Hudson, 1867-1946, was a pioneer amateur naturalist who spent his life collecting and describing the New Zealand insect fauna. He was the author of seven books on insects, each illustrated in colour with his own immaculate drawings and paintings. This biography was written by his grandson and is beautifully illustrated with colour plates of Hudson’s notebooks and paintings. An exceptionally fine book.
